The state of Illinois presented Maurice J. Barry, Jr. with a law license in 1987.
The Disciplinary Commission found Maurice guilty of the following misconduct.
Marie was hired by a group of union funds to collect monies owed to the client. Marie failed to diligently represent her client in several civil cases she filed to collect funds due and owning to the clients.
Marie made several misrepresentations (lied) to her client regarding the litigation when she falsely claimed she had filed a lawsuit on the client’s behalf.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Maurice by gifting her with a complimentary 150- day suspension of her law license.
As we speak (ca. November 2012) Marie practices with the Law Offices of Marie Durbin LLC at 9804 Manchester Road in Saint Louis, Missouri.
