Attorney Michael Chernin of Milwaukee; moronic loser, liar  The state of Wisconsin presented Michael L. Chernin with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Washington University Law School.
The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Michael guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Michael was hired to represent a client who received a citation fro disorderly conduct. A pretrial hearing was subsequently set by the trial judge. The client offered to appear, but Michael advised him that his personal appearance wasn’t necessary. When Michael the Loser failed to appear at the hearing on behalf of his client, a default judgment was rendered against his client.
Michael never advised his client that he did not intend to appear at the hearing on his behalf. Shortly after the hearing, the client received notice from the court of the default judgment and the $175 fine assessed against him. The client then contacted Michael who told him he’d take care of the matter by attempting to negotiate a settlement with the City Attorney’s office.
The client made over 35 calls to Michael to find out what he had one about the default judgment, but Michael never provided him with any satisfactory explanation. In fact, Michael actually did nothing to correct the default judgment visited upon his client due to Michael’s gross incompetence.
As a direct result of Michael’s lies and gross negligence, the City subsequently garnished his client’s tax return as partial payment for the fine.
wasn’t Michael’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. Michael received complimentary in similar misconduct.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme
Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. . As we speak (ca. November 2012) Michael practices with the Michael L. Chernin Law Office at 735 North Water Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
