Judge John Nesbitt of Lyons, NY; unethical bully

The state of New York provided John B. Nesbitt with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Syracuse University Law School.

Judge John Nesbitt has been a Judge of the County, Family and Surrogate (aka, Probate) Courts in Wayne County, New York since January 2001.

The Grievance Committee of the 7th Judicial District found Mark guilty of the following misconduct

John improperly asserted the prestige of his judicial office on behalf of his son by sending a letter on official judicial stationary in a judicial envelope to the Finger Lakes Community College Summer School Program Administrator challenging an administrative determination by the Program Administrator regarding his son’s participation in the program.

John’s letter challenged the college administrator’s finds and falsely asserted that a hearing had to be conducted before his son was expelled. The letter specifically requested the reinstatement of his son “pending hearing and determination of this matter by competent authority.”

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the 7th Judicial District punished John by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. .

As we speak (ca. November 2012) John continues to sit as a judge in Lyons, New York, which is about 50 miles west of Syracuse.
