Attorney Kenneth Bemis of Phoenix; repeat performer

The state of Arizona presented Kenneth P. Bemis with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Hamline Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Kenneth guilty of engaging in the following misconduct
  1. Failed to act with reasonable diligence (slacker)
  2. Charged and/or collected exorbitant fees (cheater)
  3. Filing claims or asserting a defense in bad faith
  4. Acted unfairly to opposing counsel
  5. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
In one matter, Kenneth submitted a proposed order which a hearing officer found to be clearly inaccurate (false), far beyond the rulings of the court (fabrications), sarcastic in tone and worded to make the judge look bad. When the judge refused to sign the proposed order, Kenneth contacted the judge’s staff and demanded to speak to him ex parte, which of course the judge refused to do.

The trial judge then sanctioned Kenneth $500 for filing his sham order. Subsequently, the judge sanctioned Kenneth an additional $250 for engaging in similarly conduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Kenneth by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. November 2012) Kenneth practices at 637 North 3rd Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.

Caution: Kenneth does not carry legal malpractice insurance
