The state of Massachusetts presented Leonard A. Glionna with a law license in 1991.
The Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers found Leonard guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Leonard deposited $47,402 of a client’s funds into his trust account, which he was to hold in trust for the benefit of the client with the understanding that he would issue payments to her as needed. Leonard didn’t transfer the funds as required into an individual interest-bearing client trust account. Over several months, Leonard distributed $34,950 for the client’s benefit; however, because he commingled the client’s funds with his personal funds, he misused $12,443 of the client’s funds.
This wasn’t Leonard’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonition regarding two client matters. In the first case, Leonard handled an immigration matter that he wasn’t competent to handle (moron). In the second matter, he neglected to timely draft and record a family trust (slacker).
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers punished Leonard by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
