Attorney Ramon Obod of Philadelphia; convicted liar 
The state of Pennsylvania presented Ramon R. Obod with a law license in 1959 after he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Ramon guilty of the following misconduct.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Ramon by gifting him with a complimentary
Ramon was previously pleaded guilty in federal court with one count of making a false statement. Ramon was sentenced to 18 months of probation, 500 hours of community service, and a $5,000 fine.
Due to his representation of American Travelers Corporation (Travelers), Ramon learned that Conseco Inc. was negotiating to purchase Transport Holding, Inc. Relying on said information, Ramon purchased 500 shares of Transport Holding before the public announcement of the acquisition. Subsequently, Ramon sold the stock for a profit of $9,400 or almost $19 a share.
When the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) questioned Ramon concerning his stock purchase, he gave a materially false statement by failing to disclose that he had received insider information from an employee of Travelers.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Ramon by gifting him with a complimentary 1 year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. September 2012) Ramon practices with Fox Rothschild LLP at 200 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
On it’s website at www.foxrothschild.com, the Fox firm makes no mention of Ramon’s criminal conviction. Apparently, the firm is concerned that to do so might limit its future victim pool.
