Attorney Peter Gately of Cambridge, MA; convicted tax cheat

The state of Massachusetts presented Peter M. Gately with a law license in 1975.

The Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers found Peter guilty of the following misconduct.

Peter was convicted in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts of three felony counts of willful failure to file income tax returns.

The Massachusetts Supreme Court and the Board of Bar Overseers define willful failure to file income tax returns as a “serious crime.”

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers punished Peter by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2012) Shaun practices with the Law Office of Peter M. Gately at 545 Concord Avenue in Cambridge, Massachusetts
