Attorney John Talbot II of Philadelphia; ethical elf

The state of Pennsylvania presented John DeGroff Talbot II with a law license in 1999. John is also licensed to practice in New Jersey.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found John guilty of the following misconduct.

John thought it was appropriate to practice law while his license was suspended. Therefore, he was engaged in the illegal practice of law.

John’s suspension came about because he failed to comply with the mandatory requirements of the Supreme Court in regards to continuing legal education. Apparently, Johnny was of the opinion that he was a legal maven who didn’t require any further education.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished John by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October) John practices with Drinker, Biddle & Reath LLP at One Logan Square in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
