Attorney Gary Lawrence of Southport, NC; disgusting pervert
The state of North Carolina presented Gary Lawrence with a law license in 1975.
The North Carolina State Bar charged Gary with the following misconduct in July 2012.
Sexual assault victim No. 1
In one matter, Gary met with a female with the initials MBC who seeking advice about a potential divorce. During the meeting Gary made inappropriate comments and inappropriately touched MBC in a sexual manner [sexual assault] without her consent.
Sexual assault victim No. 2
In another matter, Gary represented a female client with the initials KJT regarding a divorce and separate rental dispute. After attending a divorce hearing, Gary asked KJT for a “divorce hug,” which KJT gave but which she thought was unprofessional. After that KJT noticed that Gary would stare at her breasts when they met making her feel nervous and awkward in front of him.
When KJT later met in a conference room at Gary’s office regarding the rental dispute, he made inappropriate comments and inappropriately touch her in a sexual manner [sexual assault] without her consent. KJT responded by stating, “what are you doing,” and immediately left the office in tears.
Sexual assault victim No. 3
While practicing in Raleigh, Gary represented a female client with the initials CC regarding a divorce and related matters. CC had several meetings with Gary during the time he represented her.
During one of these meetings Gary grabbed CC, groped her, and forced his tongue in her mouth. Gary’s actions toward CC were w/o her consent and against her will.
Gary’s Hyperbolic (BS) Defenses
Gary had the temerity to blame all or most of his sexual assaults on personal and emotional problems he experience during his early adolescence with often contributes to his compulsive behavior which affected his criminal conduct as set forth above.
Because Attorney Misfits in North Carolina are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Gary was never criminally charged for sexual assault.
As expected the comedians sitting on the Disciplinary Board and the Supreme Court bought into Gary’s BS defenses by blessing him with mitigation for his conduct.
As a consequence of his criminal conduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Commission punished Gary by gifting him with a one-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (September 2012) Gary practices at 305 North Howe Street in Southport, North Carolina, which is about 65 miles east of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
