Judge Joseph DiLoreto of Long Beach, CA; repeater, arrogant

The state of California provided Joseph Edward DiLoreto with a law license in 1967.

The Judicial Performance Commission found Joseph guilty of the following misconduct.

Joseph’s 1st bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree

Joe was involved in a dispute with Robert Barton concerning the ownership of a racing car. Joe decided he would send Barton a letter on official court stationery, which he knew was a violation of the Code of Judicial Conduct.

In his letter to Barton, Joe asserted he was the lawful owner of the car and dictated his so-called resolution of the matter.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the California Supreme Court punished Joseph by gifting him with a complimentary advisory letter.

Joseph owned a vacant lot in Downey, California that was next to a commercial professional building he also owned. The City of Downey cited Joe for various code violations due to the presence of trailers and motor vehicles stored on the vacant lot. Later on Joe met with the Downey Police and agreed to remove the vehicles to avoid legal action.

Joseph then sent a letter to the city planner for Downey, Ron Yoshiki on the court’s judicial stationery with “The Superior Court” printed on the top and the court’s official seal that identified Joe as a judge. In his letter, Joe sough an extension of time to remove the trailers and cars.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the California Supreme Court punished Joseph by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

Joe believes he has a god-given right to use State resources in pursuit of private matters, which includes attempts to extort concessions from his adversaries by his unlawful use of official court stationery. What a Loser!

As we speak (May 2013) Joseph continues to sit as a Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge in Bakersfield, California.
