Attorney Solomon Osborne of Greenwood, MS; moron, repeater

The state of Mississippi presented Solomon Curtis Osborne with a law license in 1975.

At one time, Solomon was a Leflore County Judge. During his tenure on the bench the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance found Solomon guilty of the following misconduct.

Solomon’s misconduct came about while he was attending a meeting of the Greenwood Voters League, which is a predominately African-American organization. Solomon who is an African-American told the group in attendance, “White folks don’t praise you unless you’re a damn fool. Unless they think they can use you. If you have your own mind and know what you’re doing, they don’t want you around.”

The Commission subsequently received 49 complaints about Solomon’s comments. The Commission ruled that Solomon violated state laws that prohibit judges from publicly announcing bias based on race and demeaning the prestige of office.
As one would expect, this wasn’t Solomon’s 1st bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct. He also received a complimentary 180-day suspension for his actions in attempting to halt the repossession of a vehicle owned by his wife and mother-in-law.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Supreme Court ordered that Solomon be removed from his judicial office.

As we speak (ca. September 2012) Solomon practices at 216 Star Street in Greenwood, Mississippi
