Attorney Harold Wrobel of Pacific Palisades, CA; convicted felon
The state of California provided Harold Samuel Wrobel with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) Law School.
The California Bar Court found Harold guilty of the following misconduct.
Harry was convicted of conspiracy to violate currency reporting requirements, which is a felony. Harry was arrested along with another California lawyer and a Las Vegas casino collections manager for their roles in exchanging large amounts of currency, supposedly derived from drug sales, for money orders. The scheme was actually a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) sting operation, with the DEA supplying the money.
The other lawyer gave Harry two payments of $100,000 in currency which he exchanged for cashiers checks. Steven then made deposits of the cash into his accounts to avoid the $10,000 statutory reporting requirements and received $3,000 for conducting the ten (10) transactions.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Harold by gifting him with a 12-month suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. September 2012) Harold practices at 14954 Corona Del Mar in Pacific Palisades, California, which is about 20 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.
It must be comforting to the folks living in the greater Los Angeles area to know that there’s yet another convict practicing law in their area compliments of the comedians sitting on the California Bar Court.
