Attorney Lynn Bureta of Kenosha, WI; lazy Dumbo

The state of Wisconsin presented Lynn M. Bureta with a law license in 1980 after she graduated from Lewis University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Lynn guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to communicate with client
  2. Failed to respond to repeated calls and letters
  3. Withdrew representation without prior notice to client (abandonment)
  4. Failed to act with reasonable diligence (slacker)
  5. Failed to provide competent legal representation (Dumbo)
While employed as a public defender, Lynn represented several defendants. During that time she repeatedly refused to communicate with them and/or respond to their repeated attempts to contact here. She also failed to file necessary appeal briefs within the 90-day time to so act. In fact, she was 14 months late in filing the required brief for her client (victim)

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme
Court punished Lynn by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2012) Lynn continues to practice in the Kenosha, Wisconsin area.
