Judge Donald Alvarez of San Bernadino; scofflaw; ethical dwarf, moron

Judge Donald Alvarez is but another Judicial Misfit running amok in California!

On October 5, 2003, Judge Donald Alvarez was stopped by the California Highway Patrol in San Bernadino County for speeding. After a blood sample was drawn from Judge Donald Alvarez, he was charged with driving under the influence on October 17, 2003.

Pursuant to the California Code of Judicial Ethics, Judge Donald Alvarez was required to report the fact that he was charged with a crime “promptly” (immediately) with the California Commission on Judicial Performance.

The Judicial Commission become aware of Judge Donald Alvarez’s criminal arrest from an outside source (not Judge Donald Alvarez) on May 26, 2004, which was four months after his convictions and over seven months after criminal charges were filed against him.

In his response to the Judicial Commission’s complaint, Judge Donald “The Moron” Alvarez claimed he was ignorant of the law/rule mandating that he “promptly” report any criminal arrest to the Commission.

Ignorance of the law is a well-respected and repeated defense put forth by morons and ethical elves such as Judge Donald Alvarez. Although we all know that “ignorance of the law” is not a valid defense, it is unfortunately a stepping stone to higher office for intellectual gnomes like Judge Donald Alvarez.

As a result of thumbing his nose at the Rules for self-reporting criminal arrests, the Judicial Commission imposed a severe punishment that would clearly serve to send a message to Judge Donald Alvarez and/or any other Judicial Misfit disposed to so act in the future.

I know, you’re asking and what was this severe punishment the Commission imposed upon Judge Donald Alvarez. Well, for all you folks with an inquiring mind, the Commission punished Judge Donald Alvarez by giving him a “complimentary public admonishment.”

This extremely punitive and excessive punishment only further proves that judges are held to a “higher standard of conduct” than you and me, right boys and girls?

It is indeed unfortunate that Judge Donald Alvarez continues to sit on the bench as a Superior Court judge in San Bernadino County.
