Attorney Valerie Weiss of Santa Clarita, CA; ethical dwarf

The state of California provided Valerie Sue Weiss with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from Loyola University Law School in Los Angeles.

The California Bar Court found Valerie guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to respond to requests from client’s new lawyer for information
  2. Failed to return client’s file to client after she was discharged
  3. Wrote checks against insufficient funds (rubber checks)
  4. Refused to return unearned fees (crook)
In one matter, a client paid Valerie with a $2,500 check drawn against her credit card, which contained a notation that it was not valid after a certain date. Although the credit card company said it would honor the check, Valerie demanded a new check and then cashed both of them.

In another matter, Valerie filed a class action lawsuit against federal, state, county and the city of San Diego governments after her legally parked car was towed and impounded. The tow was the result of Valerie’s failure to pay five (5) expired-meter violations and four (4) citations for failure to display registration tags on her license plate.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Valerie by gifting her with a 90-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2012) Valerie practices with Legal Care Unlimited at 20305 Gray Lane in Santa Clarita, California.
