The state of Michigan provided John R. Beason with a law license in 1982.
 
Johnny has been found guilty of misconduct on at least three separate occasions
 
John’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

 
Kent County Hearing Panel #3 found John guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Bounced checks
  2. Failed to disclose overdrafts to disciplinary authority as required
  3. Failed to take appropriate steps to protect clients interest after being fired
  4. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  5. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
Johnny was employed by a defendant to render an opinion regarding his criminal conviction and received a $500 fee from the client. However, Johnny didn’t perform any services for the victim and subsequently failed to return the unearned fee.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished John by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 
 
John’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  1. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  2. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  3. Engaged in a conflict of interest
  4. Failed to withdraw from matter involving conflict of interest as required
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished John by gifting him with a second complimentary reprimand. 
 
John’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  1. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  2. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  3. Failure to provide competent representation
  4. Advised or assisted client in engaging in illegal or fraudulent conduct
  5. Used means for sole purpose to harass a third person
Johnny pled no contest to allegations that he violated U.S. law to eavesdrop upon and record telephone conversations between his client’s wife and others, without the knowledge and consent of either his client’s wife or any other party to the telephone conversation.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished John by gifting him with a third complimentary reprimand. 
 
As we speak (ca. August 2012) John practices at 15 Iona Avenue Southwest in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
