Attorney Veverly Gary-Hamilton of West Palm Beach, FL; Dumbo

The state of Florida provided Veverly Gary-Hamilton with a law license in 2006 after she graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School. .

The Florida State Bar found Richard guilty of the following misconduct
  1. Failed to act with reasonable diligence (slacker)
  2. Failed to explain matter to client to allow client to make informed decisions re: representation
  3. Failed to keep client reasonably informed about status of legal matter
In one matter, Veverly represented her cousin, Alvin McNair, in regards to personal injury case involving an auto accident that occurred in Georgia. Fortunately for the good folks in Georgia, Veverly was not licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia.

McNair told the State Bar that Veverly lied when she told them she had advised him that she would try to settle the case but would not file a lawsuit on his behalf. Veverly also failed to advise McNair of a settlement offer she received in his case. This was in addition to her allowing the statute of limitations for filing a lawsuit on McNair’s behalf to toll.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Richard by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2012) Veverly practices with the Law Office of Veverly Gary-Hamilton at 301 Clematis Street in West Palm Beach, Florida.
