Attorney Ronald Steadman of Carlsbad, CA; congenital liar
The state of Arizona provided Ronald W. Steadman with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the California Western University Law School.
The Arizona State Bar found Ronald guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Tempe police officer Wesley Tipton hired Ronald to pursue a claim against the City of Tempe for injuries he sustained while on the job. Subsequently, Tempe agreed to pay Tipton $75,000 to settle his claims. Tempe officials then issued a check payable to Wesley Tipton for $75,000 and handed it to Ronald. Ronald then forged Tipton’s name to the check and deposited into his personal account.
A week after Ronald received the $75,000 check he called Tipton and lied to him that he had not yet received any funds from the City of Tempe. Two and three weeks later, Ronald told the same bald faced lie to Officer Tipton that he had not received any funds from Tempe.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Ronald by gifting him with another complimentary 12-month suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. August 2012) Ronald practices at 906 Rosemary Avenue in Carlsbad, California.
Warning: Ronald does not carry legal malpractice insurance
