Attorney John Wise of South Orange, NJ; repeat offender

The state of New Jersey presented John Wise with a law license in 1993. He is also licensed to practice in New York State.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found John guilty of misconduct on several occasions.

In 1995 John was found guilty of negligently misappropriating $9,000 of client trust funds. I am at a loss to understand how an attorney can negligently steal client funds. John received a complimentary reprimand for his misconduct.

In 1996 John received a complimentary admonishment for his misconduct in a divorce case.
  1. Failing to act diligently (slacker)
  2. Failing to communicate with client
In 2005 John received his second complimentary reprimand from the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ethics Board for engaging in gross neglect of a client matter and lack of diligence involving a bankruptc matter.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits in New Jersey sitting on the Supreme Court punished John by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) John practices at 15 Village Plaza in South Orange, New Jersey.
