Attorney Albert Boasberg of San Francisco; moron, thief

The state of California provided Albert Loeb Boasberg with a law license in 1961 after he graduated from Yale University Law School.

The California Bar Court found Albert guilty of six (6) counts of misconduct involving two client matters, some of which is discussed below.
  1. Failed to perform legal services competently (moron)
  2. Failed to keep client informed about developments in case
  3. Failed to refund unearned fees (thief)
  4. Failed to respond to client inquires
In one matter, Albert represented two sisters who tried to evict a tenant from a building they inherited in San Francisco. The clients told Albert they wanted the matter to go to mediation and the tenant’s attorney agreed. Albert never scheduled mediation on behalf of his clients.

In another matter, a chiropractor who was going through a divorce hired Albert to research a corporation his wife formed w/o his knowledge. Albert was supposed to dissolve the corporation and advise the chiropractor about his community property rights. Albert didn’t perform any legal services for the client. Albert did not refund unearned fees to the chiropractor for nearly two years.

In the second matter, a chiropractor who was going through a divorce hired Boasberg to research a corporation his wife had formed without his knowledge. Boasberg was to dissolve the corporation and advise the chiropractor about his community property rights. He never obtained the corporation papers.
When the client later was notified by the U.S. Patent Office that it could not process a request regarding a patent that he knew nothing about, he again asked Boasberg to look into the matter and to prepare a contract to remove his wife’s name from all his business activities. Boasberg did not respond to the request

Albert’s Hyperbolic (BS) Mitigation Defense

Albert had the chutzpah to blame his misconduct on emotional difficulties he claimed he was suffering from. As usual, the comedians sitting on the Bar Court bought into Albert’s BS in granting him mitigation.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Albert by gifting him with a stayed 12-month suspension of his law license. In truth, the buffoons sitting on the Bar Court didn’t mete out any real punishment to Albert.

As we speak (ca. August 2012) Albert practices at 155 Montgomery Street in San Francisco, California.
