Attorney Carolyn Ranke of Cleveland; Dufus

The state of Ohio presented Carolyn Kaye Ranke with a law license in 1989 after she graduated from Cleveland State University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the Cleveland Metro Bar Association found Carolyn guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to file a response re: motion for summary judgment on client’s behalf
  2. Failed to provide competent legal representation (Dufus)
  3. Neglected a legal matter entrusted to her
  4. Failed to seek client’s lawful objectives
  5. Failed to carry out a contract of employment
  6. Caused damage to be incurred by client
  7. Failed to appear at a court scheduled hearing on behalf of clients
Carolyn was hired to pursue a claim regarding a husband’s catastrophic injury in an automobile accident. While the case was pending in court, defense counsel filed a motion for summary judgment to have the case dismissed. Carolyn never filed any objection to the summary judgment motion on behalf of her clients (victims), which resulted in the motion for dismissal being granted.
As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Carolyn by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Carolyn practices with Carolyn Kay Ranke Co. LPA at 323 West Lakeside Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio.
