Attorney Edgar Ramos of Rocky River, OH; ethical misfit

The state of Ohio presented Edgar Andrew Ramos with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Case Western University Law School in Cleveland.

The Grievance Committee of the Cleveland Bar Association in found Albert guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Neglected a client’s legal matter
  2. Failed to account for fees received from client
  3. Failed to maintain client funds in client trust account
While representing Donald Sweet in a real estate dispute, defense counsel filed a motion to dismiss the case that the trial court later converted to a motion for summary judgment. Edgar never filed a response to the motion for summary judgment, which led to his client’s case being dismissed.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Albert by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license. In truth, the comedians on the Court didn’t really meet out any significant punishment to Edgar.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Edgar continues to practice law in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area.
