Attorney George Zuganelis of Chicago; tax cheat, repeat offender
The state of Illinois presented George Mark Zuganelis with a law license in 1978.
The Disciplinary Commission found George guilty of misconduct on at least two occasions as set forth below.
George’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
George was convicted of three (3) counts of failing to file his federal income tax returns.
Writing checks with insufficient funds (rubber)
In addition, George provided the clerk of the Cook County Circuit Court with three checks in the amounts of $113, $31, and $46 respectively. All three checks bounced because George didn’t have sufficient funds in his checking account. What kind of loser can’t cover a $31 check?
As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished George by gifting him complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.
George’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
George’s misconduct involved him victimizing several clients. In one matter, he knowingly lied to a client that he had filed a personal injury lawsuit on his behalf. George then had the temerity to settle the client’s claim w/o obtaining the client’s prior authorization to do so.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished George by gifting him another complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. July 2012) George practices with Zuganelis & Zuganelis, PC at 3048 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
