Attorney Michael Rentschler of Harrisburg; repeat offender

The state of Pennsylvania provided Michael D. Rentschler with a law license in 1986. .

The Disciplinary Board has found Michael guilty of misconduct on at least three occasions.

Michael’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2005
  1. Neglected clients seeking permanent residence in the United States
  2. Failed to file the necessary resident applications for clients
  3. Failed to respond to client requests
  4. Failed to return unearned fees (thief)
  5. Failed to return client files after being fired
As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Surpeme Court punished Michael by gifting him with an informal admonishment. I hear tell those are like really painful!

Michael’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2008
  1. Failed to communicate with clients
  2. Neglected client matters
  3. Failed to respond to client requests
As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Surpeme Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Michael’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree - 2010

  8. Failed to provide requested accounting to client
  9. Withdrew client funds to pay his fees when not authorized to so act
Michael’s Hyperbolic (BS) Defenses

In mitigation and defense of his continuing misconduct, Michael had the chutzpah to claim he began using alcohol more frequently, sometimes every day. He was having personal financial difficulties, was anxious and upset, and felt depressed. Mike went on to laughingly claim that he addressed his alcohol abuse through a self-imposed period of abstinence. Mike obviously missed his calling as a standup comedian.

As expected, the morons sitting on the Supreme Court bought into Mike’s BS and granted him the mitigation he sought. In fact, these buffoons specifically ruled that all of Michael’s misconduct came about because of his alleged mental disorder. What a joke!

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license, which means the comedians on the Court didn’t really mete out any meaningful punishment.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Michael practices with the Law Office of Michael Rentschler at 2201 North 2nd Street in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Caution: Michael does not carry legal malpractice insurance!
