Attorney Kenneth Saffren of Jenkintown, PA; ethically destitute

The state of Pennsylvania provided Kenneth Scott Saffren with a law license in 1985. .

The Disciplinary Board found Kenneth guilty of the following misconduct.

Kenneth’s misconduct involved his representation of several clients that were allegedly injured when a Sky Chef’s truck struck the wing of an American Airlines airplane shortly after the plane’s scheduled departure.

In his lawsuit on behalf of Ms. Williams, Kenneth claimed that her injuries arose “solely” as a result of the airplane accident. Subsequently, defense counsel Joanna E. Tibbels took Ms. Williams’ deposition in the presence of Kenneth. During the deposition, Ms. Williams made a number of false statements under oath (perjury) including the following:
  • She had not sustained any injuries prior to the airplane accident
  • She had no muscle pain prior to the airplane accident
  • She had not spoken to Kenneth prior to hiring him to represent her in the airplane accident
Kenneth absolutely knew that Ms. Williams had repeatedly perjured herself because:

Two months before the airplane accident Ms. Williams was involved in an auto accident in which she alleged, among other things, neck and mid-back injury
Ms. Williams hired Kenneth and his firm to represent her in the auto accident
In a letter to Ms. Williams’ chiropractor Kenneth advised him that he personally represented her in connection with the auto accident and asked that he be copied with any reports, treatment notes and medical bills

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Kenneth by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Kenneth practices with Saffren & Weinberg at 815 Greenwood Avenue in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.
