Attorney Phillip Hineman, Jr. of Phoenix; serial offender

The state of Arizona presented Phillip D. Hineman, Jr. with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Pepperdine University Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Phillip guilty of engaging in the following misconduct on at least three (3) occasions.

Phillip found guilty of the following misconduct, all of which related to his representation of clients (victims) in criminal cases.
  • Failed to provide competent legal representation (moron)
  • Failed to act diligently in representing client (slacker)
  • Failed to return unearned fees (crook)
  • Failed to respond to client’s request for accounting and itemized billing statement
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the e Arizona Supreme Court punished Phillip by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

  • Charging a clearly excessive fee (cheater)
  • Fee agreements failed to inform clients of the claimed basis for his fees
  • Entered into a prohibited business transaction w/client to pay his legal fees
In order to satisfy his lust for cash, Phillip had a client executed a quit claim deed to the client’s house as security for his legal fees. Of course Phillip never advised the client to consult with another lawyer before he took advantage of the client (victim).

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Phillip by gifting him with a second complimentary censure

Phillip’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

Phillip’s 3rd misconduct performance related to his representation of a trust on behalf of a husband and wife. The husband had been diagnosed with dementia and had to live with his daughter. The daughter hired Phillip to prepare a power of attorney in her favor. Even though Phillip knew the father wasn’t capable of making decisions for himself, he prepared a personal appointment as temporary guardian.

While appearing at probate court, Phillip informed the judge that he was representing the father and the daughter. When the issue of competency arose, the judge reviewed Phillip’s affidavit and determined that a conflict of interest existed in his representation of the father and daughter, a fact well known to Phillip the Loser.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on Arizona Supreme Court punished Phillip by gifting him with a third complimentary censure.

This is another example of why the vast majority of Arizonians have absolutely no faith in the manner in which Attorney Misfits are made to account for their misconduct.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Phillip practices law at 3411 North 5th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.
