Judge Deborah Christopher of Polson, MT; potty mouth slacker

Unfortunately, the state of Montana provided Deborah Kim Christopher with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from the University of Montana School of Law.  

The Montana Supreme Court and Judicial Standards Commission is investigating Debbie for engaging in the following misconduct.

• Referred to a mom in her courtroom as “you bitch” in a remark to colleagues after a child custody hearing
• Described a grandmother as “poison” during child custody proceeding
• Ordered a child removed from his mother [the one she called a bitch] who had raised him, and placed in custody with his father, who only had spent a few days a year with him
• Neither parent had asked for the change in custody
• Issued an order containing biased comments
• Talked to a defendant without his lawyer being present
• Gave a defendant advance notice of a ruling she planned to issue
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Missed too many days of work without covering her docket
• Failed to timely rule on motions
• Twice attempted to contact a represented party ex parte (one-sided) and without counsel present

It should be noted that Debbie was immediately removed the case involving the matter wherein he referred to the Mom as a “bitch,” by the Montana Supreme Court.

Rather than wait for a decision from the Montana Supreme Court that likely would have led to her being tossed off the bench, Debbie did what most cowardly Judicial Misfits do, she resigned from the bench on March 24, 2024.

As we speak (ca. April 2024), it is rumored that Debbie has an application pending as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter Store at 36318 Memory Lane in Polson, Montana.
