Attorney Michael Aplin of Denver, CO; criminal convict

The state of Colorado provided Michael J. Aplin with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.

The Colorado State Bar found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Mikey was involved in several heated discussions with his wife regarding her desire to separate
  • Mikey agreed to pack some belongings and move out of their home
  • Engaged in conduct that directly, intentionally, and wrongfully harmed others
  • On the same day, police responded to Mikey’s home twice, the second time finding broken glass, broken picture frames, and two cut-up chairs
  • Mikey pled guilty to one count of Criminal Mischief, a Class 3 misdemeanor
  • Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer's honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2024), Randy practices his so-called brand of law in Denver, Colorado.
