Attorney Pamela Ames of Waterville, ME; scamming loser

The state of Maine presented Pamela J. Ames with a law license in 1980 after she graduated from the University of Maine School of Law

The Grievance Commission of the Maine Board of Bar Overseers found Pam guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which involved Patty’s conduct duringthe course of a post-divorce motion to change primaryresidence of minor children from their mother to their father.

  • Engaged in dishonest behavior while visiting an inmate at the Maine Correctional Center
  • Pam had a close personal relationship with the inmate whom she had fostered and represented while the inmate was a minor
  • While responding to a request from the inmate, Pam agreed to send and later hand delivered specific items including photographs, magazines, stamps and a personalized watch to the inmate
  • Giving the items to the inmate was a violation of the MCC’s rules
  • Engaged in conduct unworthy of an attorney
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Pam by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), Pam practices her so-called brand of law at in Augusta Waterville, Maine.
