Attorney Edward Pradat of Tuscaloosa, Al; lying loser

The State of Alabama presented Edward Hopkins Pradat with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Eddie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Eddie initially denied having engaged in any type of sexual relationship with a client
  • Eddie subsequently admitted to having a consensual relationship with the client but claimed it was during a period of time in which he was not actively representing the client in any legal matter
  • Eddie also initially denied asking any client to procure prescription medication on his behalf, but later admitted to providing money to a client and having the client procure Adderall on his behalf
  • Eddie also borrowed trust account funds belonging to a client without complying with appropriate rules of conduct
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to properly maintain trust account records

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Art by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), Art practices his so-called brand of law in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
