Attorney Lisa Godfrey of Kalamazoo, MI; slacker, loser

The state of Michigan presented Lisa A. Godfrey with a law license in 1985 after she graduated from DePaul  University Thomas Cooley School of Law.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #4 found Bobby guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to have a QORO prepared and entered in a post-divorce matter
• Neglected her client’s legal matter
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with her client to the extent reasonably necessary for her to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to communicate with her clients
• Failed to release her client file upon termination of the representation
• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Lisa by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs in the amount of $765.51.

As we speak (ca. April 2024), Lisa practices her so-called brand of law with Lisa A. Godfrey Attorney at Law at 137 North Park Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
