Attorney Kenneth Davis of Elizabethtown, NC; ethical misfit

The state of North Carolina presented Kenneth Davis with a law license in 2016 after he graduated from the Brooklyn School of Law.

As one would suspect, this isn’t Kenny’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Lee guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly maintain and disburse entrusted funds
• Did not conduct required trust account reconciliations
• Did not always identify the client on trust account checks and deposit slips
• Did not timely file and pay individual federal and state income taxes
• Failed to ensure timely filing of employment tax returns and timely payment of said taxes

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Lee by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the North Carolina Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Kenny.

As we speak (ca. February 2024), Kenny practices his so-called brand of law in Elizabethtown, North Carolina.
