Attorney Howard M. Dorian of Ridgefield, NJ; repeat offender

The state of New Jersey presented Howard M. Dorian with a law license in 1978.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Howard guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Gross neglect
  2. Lack of diligence (slacker)
  3. Failed to keep client reasonably informed of status of legal matter
  4. Failed to fully explain legal matter necessary to allow client to make informed decision about representation
  5. Made a false statement of material fact (perjury if under oath) in regards to disciplinary matter
  6. Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Howie!)
  7. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty and/or misrepresentation
  8. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Clifford by gifting him with a reprimand.

This wasn’t Howie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonishment from the New Jersey Supreme Court for engaging in the following misconduct.
  1. Failing to provide competent legal representation (moron)
  2. Failed to turn over client files to new attorney after he was fired
  3. Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Howie!)
