Attorney Leroy Ekechukwu of Chicago, IL; lying slacker

The state of Illinois presented Leroy U. Ekechukwu with a law license in 2016 after he graduated from the John Marshall School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Leroy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Made numerous misrepresentations (lied) to his client
• Failed to take any action on client’s post-judgment domestic relations case, beyond just filing his notice of appearance
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Failed to appear at court-ordered hearing on client’s behalf
• Falsely submitted insufficient or false court orders to the pension board of his client’s former employer
• Improperly attempted to settle a legal malpractice claim with an unrepresented client

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Leroy by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), Leroy practices his so-called brand of law with the Ekechukwu Law Group PC at 53 West Jackson Blvd in Chicago, Illinois.
