Attorney Gerald Alston of Atlantic City, New Jersey; ethical misfit

The state of New Jersey provided Gerald Mark Alston with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Gerry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to maintain a required bona fide office in New Jersey
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Gerry!)
  • Engaged in the unauthorized practice of law

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Gerry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2024), Gerry practices his so-called brand of law in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
