Former Judge Russell Brown of Canada; drunken harasser

The Law Society of British Columbia provided Russell Brown with a law license in 1995, and the Bar of Alberta provided him with a license in 2008 after he graduated from the University Victoria School of Law.

Former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper was duped into appointing Russ as a Puisne Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada in 2015. Russ didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney or jurist in Canada. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Canadian Judicial Councilinvestigated Russ for engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while Russ was attending judicial seminar in Scottsdale, Arizona.

  • Russ became drunk at the event
  • Russ’s conduct creeped out female members of the group
  • Russ tried to follow the women to their room
  • Russ’s conduct led to one woman repeatedly punching him in the face
  • Engaged in obnoxious, drunken conduct ending in an altercation
  • Harassed attendees at the even about how important he was

Rather than wait for a decision that may well have led to him being tossed off the bench, Russ did what any cowardly Judicial Misfit would do, he retired from the bench.

As we speak (ca. December 2023), it is rumored that Russell has an application pending for a job as a bathroom attendant at the Shade Gentleman’s Club at 10148 105th Street in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
