Attorney Blake Gunn of Scottsdale, AZ; ethical goblin

The State of Arizona provided Blake D. Gunn with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the Arizona State University School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar Disc found Blake guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was involved in a bankruptcy matter on behalf of his clients.

  • Included a secured loan in his clients’ debtors Chapter 11 plan that the clients had never obtained
  • Failed to confirm the existence of the client loan
  • Ignored repeated email communications from his clients advising that they no longer owned the vehicle at issue
  • Failed to respond to client inquiries as to why he had included a secured vehicle loan on documents he filed on their behalf
  • Submitted a Report of Ballots that included the non-existent secured loan with the bankruptcy court
  • Failed to timely file monthly operating reports in the client case
  • Negligently failed to file an application to be employed as debtors’ counsel

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Blake by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2023), Charley practices his so-called brand of law with Hymson Goldstein and Pantiliat at 14646 North Kierland Blvd in Scottsdale, Arizona.
