Attorney Loren Stanton of Ketchikan, AK; ethical gremlin

The state of Alaska provided Loren K. Stanton with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Alaska School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Loren guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to avoid a sexual relationship with a client named Carrie
• Inappropriate texts between Carrie and Loren started with attached screen shots of
• The texts display lewd content and nude photos
• Loren looked at intimate pictures that his client sent him
• He sent by text a picture of his genitalia to his client
• Carrie and Lauren texted about masturbation and characteristics of Loren's genitalia
• Loren expressed admiration of Carrie's breasts, and planned a Saturday rendezvous at her apartment
• Lauren gave Carrie $100 and suggested she buy some lingerie—something that was 90 percent satin with lace and frills
• Engaged in a conflict of interest by representing Carrie
• Loren’s conduct had an adverse effect on his ability to protect Carrie’s interests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alaska Supreme Court punished Loren by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $1,000.00.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Loren practices his so-called brand of law in Ketchikan, Alaska.
