Attorney Kevin McDonough of Clinton, CT; cheating slacker

The state of Connecticut provided Kevin Christopher McDonough with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Kevin guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Kevin failed to accomplish the release of the client’s son and was discharged by the client
  • Kevin refused to return the $7,500.00 advance fee
  • Subsequently Kevin offered the client a $2,500.00 refund via the client’s new counsel, which the client rejected
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Kevin’s $7,500.00 fee was unreasonable in consideration of the amount of legal services rendered and the results obtained (cheater)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Kevin by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and ordered that he make restitution of $5,500.00 to his prior client.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Kevin practices his so-called brand of law at 19 Commerce Street in Clinton, Connecticut.
