Attorney Susan Maignan of Bridgeport, CT; moron, serial repeater

The state of Connecticut provided Susan Sallard Maignan with a law license in 1993 after she graduated from Quinnipiac University  School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Suzie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Suzie’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to submit a completed Attorney Registration and Change of Information form on a yearly basis as required
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Suzie!)
• Misused or mismanaged client funds
• Wrote several checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Suzie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.  

Suzie’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to timely turn over funds which the client was entitled to receive
• Failed to deliver the $384,560.73 sale proceeds from the property closing in a timely manner
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Suzie!)
• Escrowed funds from the sale of the Stuart Avenue property without her client’s permission
• Failed to release the escrowed funds by falsely asserting that Attorney Veter never responded to her request that he accept responsibility for the Coldspring property repairs

Suzie’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Probate Court removed Suzie as Conservator for failure to perform her duties as conservator
• Failed comply with the Successor Conservator's request for Christopher Alexander's entire file
• Did not timely deliver to the Successor Conservator books, records and financial documentation, as ordered by the court
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to provide competent representation
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Suzie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.  

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Suzie practices her so-called brand of law with the Maignan Law Office in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
