Attorney Michael Adelhock of Woodland Park, NJ; ethical troll

The state of New Jersey presented Michael B. Adelhock with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law. Mikey also obtained a license to practice in the District of Columbia in 1987 and Pennsylvania in 1989.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Mikey’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary censure for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to promptly disburse funds
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Mikey!)
  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended
  • Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law at 279 Browertown Road in Woodland Park, New Jersey.
