Attorney Jonathan Hass of Denver, CO; convicted of assault

The state of Colorado provided Jonathan David Haas with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.

The Colorado State Bar found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Pled guilty to third-degree assault, a class 1 misdemeanor
  • Guilty plea arose from an incident in October 2021 when Johnny, while driving his vehicle in Denver, engaged in a verbal dispute with a cyclist traveling along the shoulder of the road
  • During the incident, Johnny sprayed water from a water bottle at the cyclist through the passenger-side window
  • Johnny pulled his vehicle over, exited it, and approached the cyclist
  • Johnny and the cyclist then had a physical altercation
  • Denver police officers eventually arrested Johnny at the scene
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on his fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2023), Matty practices his so-called brand of law at 600 Grant Street in Denver, Colorado.
