Judge Mike Bennet of Goliad, TX; ethical troll

The Texas State Commissionon Judicial Conduct found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• After Justice of the Peace Susan Moore issued a warrant for seizure of cattle that had been mistreated and starved, Mikey appeared on the scene where the warrant was being served
• After his arrival on the scene, Mikey attempted to interfere with the seizure and stop the workers from loading the trailer
• Conduct cast public discredit upon the judiciary or administration of justice
• Abused the prestige of his judicial office to advance personal interests
• Improperly conduct extra-judicial activities casing doubt on his capacity to be impartial
• Engaged in willful and/or persistent conduct that was clearly inconsistent with the proper performance of his judicial duties

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2023), Mikey continues to dispense his so-called brand of jurisprudence as Constitutional County Court Judge in Goliad, Texas.
