Former Judge Elias Goicoechea of Elko, NV; drunken scofflaw

The Nevada Commissionon Judicial Discipline found Elias guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as Justice of the Peace, Elko Justice Court in Elko County, Nevada.

• Failed to avoid impropriety or the appearance of impropriety
• Participated in activities that would lead reasonable person to question his integrity
• Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
• Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
• Appeared to being intoxicated on a number of occasions while serving on call as a Justice of the Peace
• Approved search warrant application while drunk

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Elias by the apologists for Judicial Misfits and Drunks sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. October 2023), Elias continues to dispense his so-called brand of jurisprudence as a Elko County Justice of the Peace in Elko, Nevada.
