Judge Nancy Jacobs of Tampa, FL; ethical troll

The state of Missouri provided Nancy Jacobs with a law license in 1985 after she graduated from the University of Miami School of Law.

The Florida Judicial Qualifications Commissionfound Nancy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while she was involved in a judicial against Circuit Court Judge Jared Smith.

• Criticized Judge Smith for a ruling prohibiting a minor from having an abortion without her parents’ consent, in part because of her grades
• Allies of Nancy accused Judge Smith of anti-Semitism, partly in connection with comments by his wife before a church group
• Nancyfiled filing a complaint with the Judicial Qualifications Commission against Smith, but wouldn’t discuss its contents
• Smith declined to discuss any possible complaints, but allies of his discussed a possible complaint
• Nancy called Judge Smith a bigot, an anti-Semite, not a good person
• Nancysaid Judge Smith hates me and people like me
• Nancysaid Judge Smith is a fair judge “only if litigants look like him or think like him”

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Nancy by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court.
