The state of California presented Bruce Stevens Bailey with a law license in 1977 after she graduated from the University of Toledo Law School.

FYI: This isn’t Stevie’s First bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary censure for engaging in a variety of misconduct. An article dealing with said misconduct can be found at the URL listed at the end of this article.

The California Judicial Commission found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in 12 counts of failing to support state and U.S. Constitution and laws
• Failed to act with integrity
• Engaged in impropriety and/or the appearance of impropriety
• Improperly offered testimonial about judicial polling group that was posted on the groups website, which include line to Stevie’s personal website identifying him as a judge and pictured him in judicial robes
• Engaged in arrangements with alcohol monitoring at which his son was employed
• Referred five DUI defendants to the alcohol monitoring company, which allowed for his son to be paid on a commission basis
• Ordered a defendant to pay restitution directly to his son’s company
• In two cases, Stevie failed to disclose prior contacts and relationships with persons, one of whom was the owner of the alcohol monitoring program at which his son worked
• Appointed a special master even though the appointee was not on the court-approved list
• Repeatedly accepted prohibited gifts
• Failed to adequately list his income and payments received on the Form 700 Statement of Economic Interest
• Engaged in multiple acts of wrongdoing
• Conduct harmed the public and administration of justice

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Stevie by the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission.

As we speak (ca. September 2023), Stevie continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a San Diego County Superior Court Judge San Diego, California.
