Attorney Marshall Williams of East Orange, NJ; slacker, loser

The state of New Jersey presented Marshall L. Williams with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Marshall guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence(slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Made false statement of material fact to a tribunal (Up yours, said Marshall!)
  • Engaged in gross neglect of client matters
  • Disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal
  • Failed to make reasonably diligent efforts to comply with legally proper discovery requests by an opposing party
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Failed to maintain liability insurance while practicing as a professional corporation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
  • Mishandled client’s lawsuit in federal court, resulting in sanctions being imposed against Gerry

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Marshall by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Marshall practices his so-called brand of law at 280 South Harrison Street in East Orange, New Jersey.
