Attorney Charles Carreon of Tucson, AZ; ethical leprechaun

The state of California provided Charles Hernan Carreon with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from UCLA Law School. The state of Oregon presented Charles with a law license in 1993.

The State Bar Court found Charles guilty of the following misconduct based on a 60-day suspension of his law license in Oregon.

Charles was found guilty of illegally practicing law in Canada even though he was never licensed to so act. He represented a U.S. Corporation as in-house counsel for its business operations in Vancouver, British Columbia.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Charles by gifting him with a complimentary stayed two-year suspension of his law license. IN truth, the comedians on the Bar Court didn’t punish Charles in any meaningful way.

As counsel for the company, Charles held settlement proceeds from at least one lawsuit. Without ever consulting with his client (victim), Charles used $1,400 of the settlement money to pay a money judgment against him for a residential lease he had signed while working in Canada.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the California State Bar also suspended Charles’ law license for 60-days.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Charles practices at 2165 South Avenida Planeta in Tucson, Arizona.
