Attorney Conrad Badar of San Gabriel, CA; ethical troll

The state of Massachusetts presented Conrad Gregory Badar with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from Suffolk University School of Law.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Conrad’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.t

The Board of Bar Overseers found Conrad guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in misconduct involving three (3) immigration matters
• In an asylum claim, Conrad waived the presence of a court appointed interpreter for his client, who did not speak English
• Failed to instruct his about an immigration biometrics requirement
• Failed to communicate with his client for over a year
• Did not adequately prepare client’s hearing, after which her asylum application was denied for her failure to comply with the biometrics requirement
• Due to Conrad’s negligence, his client was ordered removed to China
• A second matter involved a client’s asylum claim and adjustment of status application
• After his client was ordered removed to China, Conrad filed a Notice of Appeal, but included an incorrect mailing address for the client, causing the appeal to be denied
• Conrad did not inform his client, who had not received a copy due to the incorrect address,
• until after the expiration of the time to appeal decision
• In a third mater, the Conrad was retained after the client was ordered removed
• Conrad filed a motion to reopen and stay, but failed to inform the client about, or comply with, an order
• to supplement the motion with the client’s affidavit, causing the motion to be denied
• Conrad failed to ensure that the client understood her appeal rights, and no appeal was filed
• A later attempt by the client to adjust her immigration status was unsuccessful due to the outstanding
• order of removal, and she was transferred to a detention center

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Conrad by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.   

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Conrad practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Conrad G. Badar PC at 123 E Valley Boulevard in San Gabriel, California.
