Attorney Michael Langnas of Southfield, MI; scamming loser

The state of Michigan presented Michael D. Langnas with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law.

The Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #56 found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Wrote one or more checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Improperly deposited his own funds into an IOLTA in an amount more than reasonably necessary to pay financial institution service charges or fees
  • Improperly transferred “future payroll funds” into his IOLTA to secure funds from an IRS levy and possible garnishment
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license and assessed costs of $759.17.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Mikey fails to disclose the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.langnas.com.  Apparently, Mikey chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients to assure he wouldn’t limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law with Langnas & Associates PC at 24359 Northwestern Highway in Southfield, Michigan.
